great wall and underground palace at ming tomb

after a pretty wet start, we got to the Great Wall of China and then the weather became fine.

the tour we went on didn't give us enough time on the wall and we rushed to and through the underground palace of the Ming tomb. it was pretty ordinary. like a big castle only made in China version. Amy tells me it was mostly rebuilt, so it was mostly fake.

see the pic with all the money thrown to the throne. like throwing coins for a wish. didn't have the same effect for  crumpled RMB notes.

the rest of the day we were sent to a jade factory then a silk factory to buy stuff, which we didn't. and then we were crawling in a long Saturday afternoon peak hour chaos.
