it's our last night in China. we drive to Shanghai tomorrow morning and catch our flight in the early evening.
in our last few days in Nanjing:
we did more shopping!
Amy bought a new dress in the underground street market district
Amy got a real haircut at last, at her old hair dresser. she looks the same now as when I first met her. better than the dodgy haircuts I did for her ( on her request )
we hung out in the centre of Nanjing. they have about 25 department stores, all about the size of Belconnen mall. so many shops it's unbelievable.
saw this poor beggar with one leg chopped off, scooting around on a skate board thing, throwing is money bowl around. I took the photo but gave him a coin for the royalties. he gave me a wink...
and we had lunch again with Amy's mate Allan who owns the bars and Nepal restaurants in Nanjing and Suzhou. the food was pretty much the same as Indian but was better than most if not all the Indian restaurants I've been to in Australia. more inventive and better quality.
so it's been a good trip overall in China. many good and bad things about this place. we've got it good back home, but you'd be surprised how some things are actually better over hear. no decent sport though!
home soon
