we travelled an hour or so from the hotel to stonehenge.
StoneH is over priced & you cannot get close (to give everyone a good photo) that you cannot really feel it's might. it just looks like a small broken pile of stones. but it was a nice picnic spot in the warmth for the kids.
we drove 2 more hours to Devon. it was all motorways & plain farm land scenery going towards our B&B when suddenly our GPS took us of the A road to some tiny 1 lane roads leading to nowhere.
we finally ended up on a little farm where our B&B was located.
it turns out to be a 450 year old thatched roofed farm house.
inside was like a scene out of Alice in wonderland, with the floors at such a slopeing I had the constant feeling of falling out of the top floor.
awesome English breakfast the next day.
