Belgium day 3 - Brugge

as recommended, Brugge is a great city to visit. very nice old town to walk around, we also did it on a horse and cart for 36 Euro. lots and lots of shops.

Belgium day 2 - Brussels

includes another pissing boy, a shop with every Belgium beer imaginable (and accompanying glass), pity our bags are to full and glass won't last the journey. also pictured are some strange sleeping chairs in a park.

I put a pic of the latest hand driers I've seen in the UK and now Belgium. better than the bog standard ones. stick your hands in and your skin is nearly blown off... and yes they actually dry your hands very quickly. we'll probably get them in Aus 2020...

day 1 Belgium

we're staying with my mate Henk who lives about 30km outside Brussels, in a farming area.

went to nearby Geraadsburgen where the original pissing boy statute is. bumped into a cycling event in the town, on the cobble stones. found more pissing fountains, which amused Lila.

Belgium day 1 in the park

kids parks in Belgium easily out do Australian play grounds.

kids equipment is much better. and the parents can relax in the bar overlooking the play ground with a full selection of beers and appropriate glasses.

last day in London

British Museum

one trillion Zimbabwe dollars (at the British Museum) not even enough for a loaf of bread.

just the medium today &  a play in the play ground for Lila. the playgrounds here make Canberra seem a very bogan town.

in the afternoon we caught up with Caroline, The daughter of my mothers good friend leonie. we were all so full after a great home cooked meal.

London cliche sights

day 1 in London and we walked the main sights. Red London buses at Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Parliament, London Eye.

then we caught  up with my step dad Alistair and Jenny, and went on a short boat ride down the Thames to the Tower Bridge and toured the Tower of London.
